Why Hydrogen Is Important

Direct electrification and batteries aren't always possible. At the start of 2021 over 30 countries released national hydrogen roadmaps with governments committing over £50 billion in funding. The all-inclusive price per mile covers the cost of the vehicle, the supply of hydrogen fuel, as well as other costs like maintenance, insurance and road tax. Octopus Hydrogen also commission and operate hydrogen generation equipment at the sites of renewable developers interested in securing competitive PPA agreements and would like to discuss off-take opportunities with green hydrogen generators who are planning a green hydrogen project or are already producing green hydrogen.
