Octopus Energy Reviews
In the 2024 Uswitch Energy Awards, based on a YouGov survey of over 15,000 UK energy customers, Octopus retained its number one spot, again winning the main award for Overall Customer Satisfaction whilst also increasing its score, despite continued challenges in the energy market. Octopus was also ranked in second place in the Best Customer Service and Best Value For Money categories.
Octopus is a Which? Recommended Provider for the 8th year in a row. Which? surveyed 11,984 energy customers in September/October 2024 and Octopus Energy was yet again top of the energy customer survey, receiving a 5-star rating for overall customer service. Each supplier's total score combines these customers opinions with the Which? analysis of their practices, using a set of 17 criteria across five key areas: how well they provide methods of communication to customers, how they support customers who need it, how they deal with complaints, how they performed against their recent smart meter targets and how well they handle customers switching.
Octopus is also rated "Excellent" on Trustpilot by around 90% of reviewers, based on over 574,000 reviews.
Use An Octopus Referral Link
Once you've read enough great Octopus Energy reviews, remember to use a referral link instead of switching via a comparison website. Sites like Uswitch, Confused.com, GoCompare, MoneySuperMarket and Compare The Market are great for finding your cheapest tariff, but they all get paid when you use them to switch. Some might pass on a token amount but you miss out on the standard £50 referral bonus from Octopus.
