Yes. Even if you’re a sole trader you can switch to an Octopus Energy business tariff. You can receive a custom business quote by providing your company number or charity number. These will be used to perform a credit check.
What Happens If My Business Doesn't Pass The Credit Check?
If after completing the sign up process Octopus inform you that you've haven't passed the credit check, you can still proceed with a switch to Octopus by making an upfront payment of 50%. If you call Octopus on 020 3389 5613 or email them at business@octopus.energy this can be arranged for you.

Do I Need To Get In Touch With My Current Energy Provider?
Yes, you have to give notice to your current provider. Many providers stipulate that you give them 30 days notice. Should you fail to do this before starting the switching process, your existing energy provider will probably object to your switch. After you've given the required notice, Octopus will do everything else for you.
